Een Editors Choice Award MyWed juni 2016. Ergens op het world wide web is een website genaamd MyWed.com. Een verzamel website voor trouwfotografen. Of zoals de website zelf quote: “a website with the best wedding photographers from all over the world.” Enkele jaren geleden had ik eens een profiel aangemaakt op deze website. En als ik mij het goed kan herinneren was dit om deel te nemen aan een trouw fotowedstrijd georganiseerd door Canon. Maar Canon is al heel lang geen “eigenaar” meer van deze website en die wedstrijd al heel lang verlopen. In de tussentijd is de website overgenomen door iemand uit Rusland. From Russia with love. Maar feit is: de website blijkt na jaren nog steeds actief, is een mooie showcase voor portfoliomateriaal en er staan de meest waanzinnige wauw-factor foto’s op! Mijn profiel is al die jaren blijven bestaan kwam ik achter. Onlangs had ik weer eens ingelogd op deze website en mijn oude foto’s verwijderd en om andere foto’s te plaatsen. En wat schetste mijn verbazing: ik kreeg een Editors Choice Award! Een redactiekeuze. Whoehoe! Deze foto werd ergens uitgepikt door de redactie en voorzien van een MyWed stempel links onderin. Hoppa! Showcased op de MyWed website en op de Facebook-site van MyWed.

An Editors Choice Award MyWed June 2016. Somewhere on the world wide web there is a website called MyWed.com. An umbrella website for wedding photographers. Or as the MyWed website itself quotes: “a website with the best wedding photographers from all over the world.” Some years ago I created a profile on this website. And if I remember well this was to take part in a wedding photo competition organized by Canon. But Canon is not the “owner” of this website anymore. And the competition long expired. In the meantime, the website was taken over by someone from Russia. From Russia with love. But the fact is: the website is still active after all those years. It is a nice showcase for portfolio and there are the most amazing wow factor photos are found on this website! My profile, after all those years, was a bit out of date. Once I logged in again and deleted my old photos and replaced them for other photos. I was in for a surprise: I received an Editors Choice Award! An editorial choice. Whoop! This photo was cherry-picked by the editor and given a MyWed stamp in the lower left corner. Hoppa! Showcased on the website and on the Facebook site of MyWed.
